Ginger Ale Base

I tripled this.


2 cups of water

2 cups of sliced ginger

1-3 tablespoons maple syrup

Juice of 2 lemons


Slice ginger and add to water. Bring to boil and boil for 5 minutes and reduce heat and simmer for 20-40 minutes. The longer you simmer the stronger the ginger flavor.


Add maple syrup and lemon juice to jar.


Removed ginger, strain and add to jar with syrup and lemon juice. Let cool. Shake and serve over ice with club soda, seltzer water or sprite.
